About Us

In 2007 I founded PALS afterschool at my Glanmire home in Cork.  I decided on the name PALS as it stood for all the things that I believed children should experience while at an after school: play, activities, learning and sports.  To this day I endeavour to ensure that children get this in abundance at PALS!

At its core, PALS values the individuality of each child and their own needs when it comes to play and learning.  We offer a wide range of activities to keep them active, encourage creativity and enhance learning as well as assisting with homework in an atmosphere different from the classroom where the children have already spent much of their day.

Priority is given to the outdoors where we have a lovely, large garden surrounded by trees and hedgerows. Opportunities are provided to engage in imaginative, free play after a long day in school. Children are given a sense of freedom and control over their chosen activities, be it arts and crafts, baking, gardening, soccer, playing chess, den building or role play.

We encourage friendships and have spaces where children can relax and perhaps get involved in a game with others or lose themselves completely in a book, or a toy, or whatever it is has captured their imagination!
